wow that wave looks sick
Great waves, Ideal for beginners. Can catch some very long breaks on some days, though the stairs to the bay coming from the carpark are horrendous and can be a bugger to take a board down.
lannacombe local.....ok mate where do you live? bristol...
Nice place Ogmore
Great place for beginner intermediates, went a few weeks back and had an ace session, locals were friendly, beginnners should steer clear of the far end of the bay toward the Castele- scary rocks. try the food at the poncy restaurant near the chalets, well tasty after a day in the water:)
ol' faithful
As seen on T.V.!!
Can hold a full on right hand barrel when the tide is low. Breaks over a boulder reef so it's a bit knarly!
At high tide this has to be one of the fastest, biggest barreling waves in the UK. At low tide it will still kick your arse, but you might just make one!! unless your used to these kind of waves of course.
A classic when the banks are right - crowds a bit of a problem
concurs with the over-population concept : tubes of flesh, bone & rubber! A possible brand in the making: "fistral of the north"!
Maxed out on bigger swells, and one of the most crowded waves in the north! avoid if at all possible.
Can be great, but most of the time I get there your either paddling through endless shore breaks or fighting with loads of others for average waves
magic!! ie. turns s*** occasionly into something that doesn't resemble 'it' at all!
Works well in big south easterly swells. It can clean up Big northly swell in Strong N/NE winds but often disapoints in those conditions.
Has good banks and is one of the UK's most consistent breaks, but if you can get a wave on your own here you surf in the dark.. and even then only if they're not running a night comp!
it's quite good really, very dependable, nestle amongst crowd-breaks
This has to be one of the most full on reefs in the UK. Picks up any swell in the area. If it's flat every where else you should get a wave here!.. Worth going to visit when it's Maxed out as it can be an immpresive sight!
Close out city! only good when there a strong SW wind, but then only if you can't get else where..
Surprisingly good!!
Incredably good at high tide when strong South Easterly winds are blowing out every where else. The harbour wall gives protection from the winds and clens up the surf.
world class beach break, when it works!
great
Sandsend its the sickist place to surf by far. great wave
Good waves can be had - banks dependent , + respect the locals they've earnt it!
Can be hard work - but when it's on it's on!!
Massive beach, so you can usually find a peak to yourself if you want one. Has a mint Beach Bar.. Go there on a Friday night.
The name speaks volumes!
Seldom surfed & under-rated: it's a closeout! -Honest!!
filthy!!!
absolutly NECTER world class
THE 2nd BEST LEFT ON THIS COAST
if you like the easy life of predictable so-called perfection you'll probably fall head over heels for this sickly-sweet gem
cross to offshore on S-SE winds, long point break , all abilities, mid-low tide, careful of the rip which runs in the same direction as the wave make getting to the peak a hassle!
Shitty locals, crap wave.. If you have to surf here Move!!
take a 10ft planck and you might have some fun after all!
This place is always worth a vist either when the north coast is Maxed out, or when it's flat but there's a SE showing in Aberdeen.
A lot more mellow than it's sister break across the river. Holds a mellow left and a quite full on right. can be hard to get the tide right as it works on Low-mid through to Mid-High.. hard window to catch!
Well worth the walk - the sights are breath taking and the waves not either!
a nice, but hollow break not far from Agadir - 30kms or about 6 1/2 hrs from whitby by plane and car! Named after the ship's boiler that lies wrecked near the take-off zone!
toxic, dirty, filthy amazing right hander,
the hard north at its best
northbay works brilliantly
excellent spot not been at it long
but scarborough holds some of the friendliest surfers around
big shout out to the fluid concept boys
thats where its at
I've been enjoying it overhead, shame about the corwd, most off them dissappear when it get's bigger. Oly raves about 'rights'......
What a nightmare!! croyde on a weekend!! 300+ people in the water and it wasn't even surfable!!
Avoid this place like the plague!! or become one of the masses!!
I feel for the locals around here.. hence the removal of most devon breaks!
One of my favorite photographs ive taken!
Great story!! wish i was there!
i get all my custom surfboards from mark at Fluid.. great service!
surfed it 2-3ft sunday 03/10 nice wave caught some nice rights

If your good enough will catch ace waves and have amazing sesh!!!
yeah but sennen is protected from wind directions more
wow. 2 weeks ago was so lush. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! amamzing! was a saturday! so good, so clean and hollow
are you off ya head ?? wait till high tide then it is off the hook
hunmanby gap is one of the best spots on its day if you come down come down with a good attitude and show some respect for the locals (most of which ripp) if you are a nob be ready for stink eye and wax on ya windscreen!! so be nice
saltburn beach rocks!!!
deffinatly the place for me fully mellow hang out at night!! gd idea is 2 chek out trvedra farm carivan+campinging sight for gd cheap place 2 stay cheersxx
when it's over 4ft and raining if its clean there are always people out have you been taking drugs lately mate. you probably haven't even been there the only time when it's crap is when it's summer and all the kooks are there.
great beach bit of laugh watch out if your tryin to do the hawain beach run to the sea there are some random wholes and u dont look good when u fall over on ur board lol anyway fair play to the locals in this place
