Surf is the face height at the beach after the swell is filtered for the way Hayle Rivermouth faces. Arrows show where the swell and wind are heading. Tide is the height at St. Ives above chart datum, rising ↑ or falling ↓; the rating drops when the tide is outside the window this break works on. Amber marks the sessions worth setting an alarm for. From Thursday the swell comes from Météo-France's 10-day model, which is coarser than the 5 km German model used close in. Hours no model reaches are left blank, not shown as flat.

Exposure

Hayle Rivermouth faces north-west. Swell inside the lit window reaches the beach; anything from behind the headlands scores nothing, however big the buoy says it is.

1 Jan 2010 · silvabak a nice, but hollow break not far from Agadir - 30kms or about 6 1/2 hrs from whitby by plane and car! Named after the ship's boiler that lies wrecked near the take-off zone!
19 Apr 2005 · BK The sand digging is redevelopment work dude. Definately needed. If you're surfing here you need your head read. Dangerous currents mean they drag at least 4 stupid arse surfers out of here a year... Unless you've got a serious death wish don't bother.
11 Dec 2004 · Adam Would be better if they wern't digging the sand from the beach - Dangerous and Destructive
17 Nov 2004 · liam walker cool place to surf
