Northcore`s Clinton & Spears nab 1st at English Nationals
It was a storming weekend at the English National surf competition, held at Watergate bay, for three of the Northcore team. With fantastic results for both Lewis Clinton and Kathleen Spears taking 1st place in the U18 boys and girls categories respectively. Not only that, Lewis was awarded the Dave Gent Memorial Trophy for the best-placed junior surfer from Newquay.

SAS campaigns for better sewage treatment in Guernsey
Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) has begun its election campaigning for improved sewage treatment in Guernsey by asking all prospective candidates to answer a ‘sewage questionnaire’. The resulting answers will be compiled and shown online at sas.org.uk in the run up to polling day.

Northcore East Coast Drift 08 scores both snow and surf
This Easter morning of the Northcore East coast Drift surf competition saw some areas of the UK East coast covered in over 4 inches of fresh powder so a snowboard competition could have been an alternative if the swell hadn`t shown as forecast. Irish Surfing Irish Student National Surfing Championships in Lahinch, Co. Clare
The 23/24th of February saw the hosting of the annual Irish Student National Surfing Championships in Lahinch, Co. Clare. Run by the NUI Galway Surf Club, in association with the Irish Surfing Association (ISA) and Tubes Boardsports, it was the largest surf competition held in Ireland to date.

Surfers Against Sewage Clean up Porthtowan
Surfers Against Sewage campaigners and over 60 volunteers turned up to Porthtowan on Saturday the 23rd of February to give the beach a spring clean. It was really shocking what the winter seas have deposited on the beach and in just 2 hours we collected more than 150kg of litter.
