Surf is the face height at the beach after the swell is filtered for the way Llangennith faces. Arrows show where the swell and wind are heading. Tide is the height at Burry Port above chart datum, rising ↑ or falling ↓; the rating drops when the tide is outside the window this break works on. Amber marks the sessions worth setting an alarm for. From Thursday the swell comes from Météo-France's 10-day model, which is coarser than the 5 km German model used close in. Hours no model reaches are left blank, not shown as flat.

Exposure

Llangennith faces south-west. Swell inside the lit window reaches the beach; anything from behind the headlands scores nothing, however big the buoy says it is.

31 Jul 2005 · Alasdair Evans i was just up at llangennith the past week and it was wicked. if u go u must eat at "eddies" and "the kings head" and a must is go to "pj surf shop" he is awsome. the surf wasn't great when i was there but there were a good amount of 4-5 ft and can go much bigger. if u want a good surf this is the place to go!!!
19 Jan 2005 · honourary welshman Have had some amazing waves in September swells. Can be a really heavy paddle out on larger days.
