Surf is the face height at the beach after the swell is filtered for the way Paington faces. Arrows point to where the swell and wind come from: an arrow pointing up means from the north. Paington faces east. Measured from the seabed, it is open to swell from NE round to SE; the brighter a wedge, the deeper the water in that direction and the more of the swell gets in. Anything from behind the headlands scores nothing, however big the buoy says it is.

Getting there
Go on the M5 Head towards Torquay and go to Torbay and drive along until you come to a beach called Preston.

This only works on an eastly wind where there a lot of wind about 20-25 knots. This happens rarely but keep your eyes on the forecast. Usually comes around in the winter. Warning Kevs everywhere in the summer and lots of tourists, so don't get your board dinged.
